📖 What the book is about

The story centers on Cadence Sinclair Eastman, a teenager from an extremely wealthy American family that spends every summer on a private island near Martha’s Vineyard. The extended Sinclair family appears glamorous and perfect on the outside but is deeply troubled beneath the surface.

Cadence is close with three young people—her cousins Johnny and Mirren, and a family friend Gat Patil—and together they’re known as “the Liars.” After a mysterious accident during one summer leaves Cadence with memory loss and chronic migraines, she returns to the island two years later to uncover what really happened.
